Welcome to Navodian Events — your community calendar for everything happening across the Navodian world, from reunion gatherings and alumni meetups to webinars, workshops, and celebrations that bring the JNV family closer together.

Whether it’s ten Navodians meeting at a chai tapri in Pune or a thousand alumni converging for a state-level reunion — if it’s happening, it belongs here.

This category is for:

  • Alumni reunions & meetups — batch reunions, school reunions, city-based Navodian gatherings, informal catch-ups

  • Online events & webinars — career talks, mentorship sessions, skill-sharing webinars, panel discussions hosted by or for Navodians

  • Workshops & seminars — learning events, competitive exam guidance sessions, entrepreneurship workshops, professional development events

  • Celebrations & felicitation events — honouring Navodian achievers, felicitation ceremonies, community award nights

  • Cultural events — Navodian talent shows, cultural evenings, poetry nights, music sessions organized within the community

  • JNV-linked events — visits to your old school, alumni days organized by JNVs, NVS-affiliated events you’re attending

  • Social impact events — community service drives, fundraisers, volunteering events organized by or for Navodians

  • Informal city hangouts — no agenda, no agenda, just Navodians in the same city who want to meet — post it here

A good event post includes:

  1. Event name — clear and descriptive

  2. Date & time — include the timezone for online events

  3. Location — full address for in-person events; platform link or registration link for online events

  4. Who it’s for — open to all Navodians? A specific batch? A specific JNV? A specific city?

  5. What to expect — a brief description of what will happen, who is organising it, and what attendees should bring or prepare

  6. RSVP or contact details — how should people confirm attendance or reach the organiser?

The more details you include upfront, the easier it is for fellow Navodians to show up.

:warning: Community Guidelines for This Category

To keep this space trustworthy and genuinely useful:

  1. Only post real events — do not post placeholder or speculative events; confirm dates and logistics before posting

  2. Update your post if details change — if an event is postponed, cancelled, or moved online, edit your post immediately and note the change at the top

  3. No commercial promotions disguised as events — events must be community-oriented; paid events must clearly state pricing upfront

  4. Respect privacy — do not share personal contact details of attendees or organizers without their consent

  5. Keep it inclusive — events should welcome all Navodians regardless of batch, school, or background

  6. Post in advance — give the community enough notice to actually attend; last-minute posts reduce turnout and trust

:handshake: Why This Category Exists

One of the strangest things about the Navodian experience is that it creates some of the deepest friendships of your life — and then scatters you across the country overnight.

Farewell happens. Everyone goes different ways. And slowly, the people who knew you at your most formative — who saw you homesick at 11, ambitious at 15, terrified before boards at 17 — become names in an old contact list.

This category exists to fight that drift. To make it easy for Navodians in the same city to find each other, for batches to organise reunions, for the community to gather around shared events and remember that the bond forged at JNV doesn’t have an expiry date.

Every event posted here is a small act of keeping the family together.
